落跑新娘

很喜歡 Julia Roberts 的愛情喜劇，而這一部我覺得是意義最深的…「落跑新娘」(Runaway Bride)

這是一個「找到自己」的寓言，主角是女性，使得整部戲更有意義--即使最後女主角仍是結婚了，但她是嫁給她真愛的人，and she knew it.

我很喜歡 Julia & Richard 在party (luau) 外吵架的那一段。那是一個發現真我的過程，而且是兩個人互相以尖銳的言辭「揭穿」了對方的真我…
「You are the most lost woman I have ever seen. You’re so lost that you don't even know what kind of eggs you like.」
「That's called changing your mind.」
「No, that's called not having a mind of your own.」
一針見血啊！
不過
「You're a cynical, exploitive, mean-hearted creep who wouldn't know real love it bit him in the armpit. All you do is, is tear others down and laugh at them and criticize what they do because you're too afraid to do anything yourself.」
「I read your columns. You never once wrote anything about yourself. I'm not the only one that is lost, and you know it.」
同樣拳拳到肉！

另外一個我喜歡的場景，當然就是 Julia 向 Richard 「求婚」的那一幕囉…先來看看發現自己後的 Julia 對她逃婚的看法：
「When I was walking on the aisle, I was walking toward somebody who had no idea who I really was. And it was only half the other person's fault because I had done everything to convince him that I was exactly what he wanted.」
「So, it was good that I didn't go through with it because it would have been a lie.」
我非常同意這段話。我也一再提起，婚姻是一個三十年以上的契約（請見http://blog.xuite.net/dragon.yinn/pigscorpio/277964?st=c&w=4257&re=list&p=1）當然不能隨便囉。
再聽聽她求婚前叫並不習慣這種場面的男人：
「Don't hide your face. This happens once in a lifetime. And it's definitely a first for me and you're not gonna want to miss it. So, pay close attention.」
實在是很有趣。

在 Julia 「正式的」求婚之後，換成 Richard 拿蹻了（是想反過來自己求，還是怕又被跑掉？哈），Julia 說：
「OK good. I was hoping that you would say that. Because if you'd said yes right away, I wouldn't be able to do this next part I've been practicing.」這實在是很好笑的一段，也難怪 Richard 要說「妳才沒有這樣希望咧！」哈哈哈。

這幾句話，是很值得學起來的：
「I guarantee that we'll have tough times. And I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. 'Cause I know in my heart, you're the only one for me.」

「You know the real me, and I didn't.」我喜歡這句。
